Like always, my titles are so very,very original and fitting...

About this drawing, it took forever to make. I have been working on it since last fall, I think? And I'm basically at a point where I hate and love it at the same time. I like the way it looks and the idea behind it on the other hand there are still some things I don't like and I have been staring at it too long to like it anymore.

It was almost completely done in Paint Tool SAI (a friend of mine helped me to get it running again, yay!) with only very minor editing in Photoshop.
I wanted to incorporate more backgrounds and this seems to be a step in the right direction, although of course there's still a lot of room for improvement. Also, I wanted to try to do something a bit more realistic than most of my other art, just because I wanted to see if I was even capable of doing something that isn't very stylised. Not sure how well that worked, but still, I tried.

The character is an OC of mine, that is theoretically part of a story I'm trying to write but she's actually a minor character that might not even play any role... she's basically connected to another minor character and I always get distracted fleshing out the characters that don't even play that much of a role... Very smart, I know. Also I wanted to draw someone in a fancy dress.

Do you like your art when you finish it? Or do you start seeing flaws as soon as you show it to someone else?

I'm curious because I end up hating a lot of my work just because I think I could do better but then I'm too lazy to fix it or i don't even really know what exactly it is that's bothering me.
