Description Moving to scraps soon.

I'm playing with FireAlpaca on my laptop thanks to SirRinge and omgomg I luff it so far!! I can't explain technically how it's different but the line work is smoother and I LOVE these brush options!! Aaaaa! I can't wait to try colors and shading. The picture editing capabilities are less numerous than photoshop or Sai but I get Sai-like lines and .PSD file support which is essentially what I wanted when I started sniffing at SAI - and FireAlpaca is Mac compatible. FireAlpaca even has my kind of sense of humor - it has it's own brush that paints fire alpacas!! I'm not too hard to please as far as complexity of drawing programs - I've always believed a great artist can make it work with what they've got, not the tool that makes the artist great. This isn't an official review, more like an initial "omfg it does what I need it to do beautifully" These are pretty much the lines I've been trying to emulate in photoshop but couldn't get - more to come soon!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

SIRRINGE! YOU GONNA GET A SURPRISE SOON!! *glomps*

Wait, what's that you say? Who's dis character? That's gonna be a surprise too!!

I LUFF it!! I've been trying to fiddle the line effects in Photoshop to get just this effect to no avail and this program does it without any adjustment :3

*nod* Well, you know it'll probably be a thank-you illustration I'm not good for too much else. Would you prefer a surprise or you wanna pick?

Haha, sweeeet, that's awesome Super glad it's working well for you.

SURPRISE! Surprises are always great though Honestly, don't worry about it, been sitting on that program for years suggesting it to people. I haven't used it much myself, but I've heard really good things about it, and apparently it holds up very well on its' own xD

Yep. I like the opacity and flow the pen brush has defaulted, I just adjust the size. It's a great solid line with no opacity but with actual pen-like tapering at the ends - as if you touched down and when you press harder the line reacts appropriately.

YUS it's free!! SirRinge just linked ya I think you'll like it! I'm not sure how I feel about the shading yet since I'm more used to photoshop but the watercolor effect is pretty cool!

Yes indeed, am downloading it now, I had to get the old version because of my out of datedness - hopefully it's the same

I like! It basically has everything I use and need without the extra useless bits I never use on photoshop

That's great! How do you like the watercolor brush? Any tips on using it? I don't quite understand it when it comes to layering over colors.

I actually tried it out briefly, but I like setting things on to really opaque so it takes more effort to blend. I have to say though, I used it just like a normal brush

xD Well, a new program does take time to get used to. I love it for the line work I can't do quite like that in Photoshop.

Oh you mean the fade brush that auto-smooths lines? I thought I liked that, but after using it again I got all grumbly and bratty. Nope, back to photoshop for me! But I'm still keeping it on my computer!
