(I so wanted to set the price to 1 point, but alas I can't.)

I decided to call this update the Shiny Customized Update, because that 2 are one of the first things you'll notice when looking at the above preview pic.
Also, this update updates the MSE to 2.0.1, which is shiny as well.

[MSE 2.0.1? I thought MSE is dead?]

Yeah, for a long time, while the template makers are constantly making those templates, the actual MSE program haven't been going on much because nobody aside from the inactive original authors can compile it from SVN.
However, the code from SVN is actually newer than the commonly seen 2.0.0 build, it changes some rendering methods used, make editing more clear, and also more importantly, it finally solves the import compression problem. You can see a comparison here: imgur.com/o9pGHsv
However, Since 2.0.1 changed some way the scripts are being handled under the hood, I need to point this out......

**WARNING: ATTENTION: IMPORTANT: If you saved a mse-set file using 2.0.1 version, it cannot be opened by 2.0.0 version!**
**WARNING: ATTENTION: IMPORTANT: Templates made against 2.0.0 version will most likely BREAK on 2.0.1!!**

Also, from this version on, this template will be for MSE 2.0.1 only, it will break if you use it on 2.0.0!! If you want to use my template with 2.0.0, there is still INFDEV6.

You can already override set-id/serial/copyright by editing them directly on the card interface
You can turn Attribute into none (click on it and click none) to disable the attribute icon as well.

Right, but you can't override the color for the set id and stuff. And even if the attribute is set to none, the card name still leaves room for it.

That's exactly what would happen if Pendulum transparency is disabled in CelticGuard's version (I based my template on his version)
nevertheless, this option messes up the entire template so I disabled it.

Your on seens to be the one I am seeking, Is it your latest mse version ? It will be nice if you could add 2 things

A hq exportation because the quality of the card is not as well as than with photoshop.

A script for the card type because when I want to make a type zarc monster I can't write each type (fusion, synchro, xyz, pendule) because there is not enough space. could you please write a script which reduce the size we arrive at the end of the line please ? (a script like for the effect)

HQ export is impossible due to 2 reasons:
I have no access/no permission to the higher quality of all templates used in this MSE template.
Scaling up the template requires changing every number in the style file, and it's very hard to make switches for them (unlike Watermarks and such that can be defined in Style file as a switch)
Also, a working HQ exportation may lead to legal troubles, which is a thing I'm avoiding.
I recommend outputting the regular image then run it through tools such as waifu2x

IMO it's quite high quality given that you're using a proper card art with decent quality on its own

As for the card type, It likely won't be happening soon either because adding type fields require a change of the yugioh.game file, which will affect all other templates due to template styles are built above yugioh.game. I do have plans to add another copy of this .game file (yugioh_custom.game or something) that supports more custom card types without breaking the original implementation, but that will take a long time.

Your mse looks like fantastic but I will change it a little bit because I am french (and I would like to soon publish cards on DA)

I know how to add card template and attribute but I dunno how to add rarety, could you explain me please ?


I have two other questions : what are pandemonium, dlc and bigbang monster and trell card ?

Does waifu2x have an installation or is it on a website ?

Forum MSE Export is a function that exports all text on a card so you can post the text elsewhere (i.e. on a forum)
it's outdated and won't output some Series 9 and 10 exclusive strings (e.g. Pendulum Effects or Link Arrows) and currently, I have no plans to update it since it looks like too much hassle.

You add rarity in the style file, look into that file (open it with Notepad++) and see how the other rarities are implemented.
it's an extra layer on the card, you can edit the layer images within the template files.

Pandemonium and Bigbang monsters are custom card types in ygocc, a custom card community.

Waifu2x is a program, however, it's implemented as a website here:  waifu2x.udp.jp/ You may be able to find an offline version somewhere else, but for me, the online version is enough.

Pendulum effect size should already be there.
It's in the Style tab, then Pendulum Options -> Pendulum Size

Hint: Look at the Sample file, it contains almost every possible card types, look at each card's style tab to see how they're configured.

Currently, the ATK/DEF digits only go up to 4 digits. This is because none of the official cards has an ATK/DEF larger than 9999 listed on the ATK/DEF.
Since we don't have anything to refer to, it's better safe than sorry just limit the number of numbers you can put there. Maybe the ability to go over 9999 ATK/DEF will be implemented in the next update if I had the time to do it.

However, if you intended to enter a number that's less than 9999, and find that the numbers are too big, you may have a font error, try to install the fonts located under /font in the package.

In order to print these cards in real-life size, in data/yugioh-series10.mse-style/style file, line 25, change "card dpi:" from 152.6265 to 178.0156 (Series 10 MSE Template 2017 +Link (LQ Edition) has this, for reference).

To add the Normal monster card type in the template (Series 10 feature), in data/yugioh.mse-game/word_lists file, after line 108, add "word: Normal" (without quotes), just after "name: card".

Also, the space between some texts, like between card title and attribute, card monster type and monster description, needs to be a bit expanded, mistakes are provided in the image below. This happens only on Proxy-like template style, Actual style doesn't seem to have this problem. Pendulum monster cards have this problem in Actual style instead.

Add support for ATKs and DEFs higher than 9999 (Series 10 MSE Template 2017 +Link (LQ Edition) has this, for reference).

Add Egyptian Gods original styles, and the ability to add capital letters to ATK/DEF, like the original Slifer the Sky Dragon (Series 10 MSE Template 2017 +Link (LQ Edition) has this, for reference).

If you can add these additions, it would be the BEST MSE template ever.

I'll address this issue one by one, thanks for the feedback.

Card DPI has been noted.

Normal Monster has already fixed in the newest INFDEV version (not yet on Github).
(There's nothing stopping you from manually typing Normal though)

These above 2 fixes would be released in the next release.

In the pic you're using the Proxy-like card frame, which is no longer supported by the original author. Due to this reason, this will be put as the lowest priority.

since there're no 9999+ ATK and/or DEF monsters in YGO yet, I don't know how these would look, this will be put as low-priority.

Series10 Egyptian God card frame is already in the template, however, they're not yet officially implemented, these frames will be implemented next release.
The ability of X000 ATK/DEF is not yet implemented, but I'll implement it in the next release.

tl;dr Most of the feedbacks will be implemented in next release, aside from 9999+ATK/DEF, or anything related to the Proxy-like card frame.
my suggestion if you want to keep using the Proxy-Like card frame, is, in the style menu, change Large Type to false. As for the card name, just give it an additional space at the end.

I don't know of any template, but this style is included to Series 10 MSE Template 2017 +Link (LQ Edition)  and GNTC Template V7 .

Also printed cards when printed appear larger than real size. Can you fix this?
Perhaps this information can help you:
"Actually the real life size of a card is 5.9 cm x 8.6 cm which is 223 pixels x 325 pixels. This is the same aspect ratio as 421x614 or 717x1045 or 813x1185. It's also why most of the PSD templates floating around use 813x1185. Most of the high quality artwork though is 544x544, so 813x1185 upscales it. The correct size without upscaling is 717x1045." - serenade87.

[Update] ZARC Template is done. Since I still haven't finished all my planned functions for next public release I won't make a release here.

You enable this by first making an Extra Deck Pendulum monster, then switch to Style -> Pendulum Options, and turn "is ZARC card" on.
If you want this right now, go to my Github and download from there (Click Download -> Download ZIP, then manually copy/paste "data/yugioh-series10.mse-style" and "data/yugioh-text-replacements.mse-symbol-font" to your own MSE file, overwrite everything.

To be honest, I didn't intend this template to be used in printing proxies, you're free to resize the output cards in Photoshop though.

I'm not a fan of reinventing the wheel.
The app you're looking for is called MOSE. It's programmed by some Chinese guy (actually it's the same Chinese guy that provided me with the template base used for this template)

Good luck on finding it, I'm not related to that project so I don't know much about it, AFAIK doing cards on mobile also seems to be quite a bad idea....

Install every font under /fonts.
you do that by right click on them, then selecting install.

If you want to do Chinese/Japanese cards, also unzip the font files there and install them all.

Okay, there's a slight bug I failed to grab.
I somehow mistyped a letter and rendered the mask images on all Pendulum Proxy-Like style cards broken.
Also, people reported that MSE 2.0.1 has a rendering bug that will output wrong brackets in mess-output (it works fine when outputting pics 1 by 1 though)
thus, I present hotfox for INFDEV21:

unzip into data folder of your MSE, overwriting everything, should fix all of the above.

So, I have tried and tested the template and all, and had to give you kudos for the hard work, but one thing: The thing with the customized foils. I enabled to my favorite one, which was Kaiba Corporation Rare, but no changes to the card. Is it a WIP or not? Just asking.

You need to make sure you enabled the right switches.
To use custom foil, first, you need to set your card to a rarity that has foils (e.g. Super rare or Mosaic Rare)
Then, enable both Foil Texture and Foil Texture Override options.

Then it should work.
