We finally decided to get Arcano back into the show ring, and we noticed the opening of the TKC World Dog Show - something we had had our eye on for our boy for quite some time now. We settled down and increased our training with Arcano. We entered him into several obedience trials, and now it's like he can read our minds. We've never had such a well-rounded dog in our kennels, and are quite proud. About a week before the competition began, we flew out to Sweden. The trip was a little rough on Arcano, but he bounced back quickly and we all slowly accustomed to the climate change. Arcano had lots of fun exploring the new country, and for the first day we let him do whatever he wanted, to let him get used to his new surroundings.

The day of the competition, we arose early and headed out. When we arrived, we immediately got to work on Arcano, grooming and bathing and brushing him to his very best condition. He was given a very small trim all over, to better show off the colors in his coat. He stood quietly throughout the whole ordeal, doing what we asked of him and just looking at the other contestants, but not making any moves to meet any of them. He was a kind, social dog, but he knew what was expected of him. Even though this only his second conformation show, he showed us just how intelligent and aware he really was.

Finally, it was our turn to enter and hopefully impress the judges with our stunning boy. His coat was soft and silky, every hair clipped and brushed to perfection. He lifted his head, then we began the trot. His tail was slightly raised in a plume of black fur, his ears were up and his expression alert. His movement had a nice, easing bounce to it, him extending his legs to show off the muscles sliding underneath his coat. Arcano had a beautiful trot, seemingly floating above the carpet. After showing off his gait, we moved into the stack, the spotlights bouncing beautifully off of his fur, making it shine and glow. We had been working on perfecting his stack for a few weeks, and after some adjustments, he held the position. We wanted him to loosen up at least a little bit, as he was holding himself a little stiff, but he did look stunning.

We were overjoyed with Arcano's performance, and we all hope the results will work in his favor.
