Description
Nightcloud watching over Lionpaw and Breezepaw after the two had been buried alive. Her character got such a bad rep: she was written as a concerned mother in The Sight but was transformed into the wicked witch of WindClan because the Erins wanted to make you feel bad for Leafpool. Ironically it me feels bad for Nightcloud instead.Related content

I know! Everyone makes out Nightcloud as evil, but in truth, she’s not such a bad cat.
Especially this scene makes you realise, she’s actually pretty nice. I don’t think she resents Leafpool for what she did, but she’s more angry at Crowfeather for playing her along, to the point where she had children with him.

It is said Nightcloud wished to be a mother and was afraid of never becoming one so that's why she accepted Crowfeather has he knew that about her.
I honestly love her character has she is very companionate and she hated how Crowfeather was always looking at leafpool and ignoring their son.

Nightcloud's character was torn up as a result of Crowfeather's which always bothered me. Seems like he can't be near female characters for long without ruining their arcs. I wish the Erins had been more compassionate to her struggle and told us more about her (and not through the eyes of Leafpool or her kin).

I feel you. Seeing by Leafpool and her kits will make Nightcloud a more bitter character and to be honest I wished the Erins gave her a happy ending or at least gave her more love.
This is the same issue I have with Blossomfall and Millie's arc. Like we never got to know how and if they made up after her neglection and reason to go to the dark forest in the first place.

i agree, nightcloud's character gets a terrible rep... reminds me a bit of how everyone seemed to hate goosefeather back in bluestar's prophecy because he had 'killed' moonflower. it wasn't until he got his own novella that people even began to change their minds! i feel like nightcloud is in the right in the way she acts in the future, as well; she got together with a guy that has a bit of a dodgy past, and later finds out he has other kids she never even knew about (albeit, he hadn't known either, but still).
by the way, you have an extremely pleasant art style! my eye is drawn immediately towards the focal point in the piece, and the interesting clash of coloration that lionpaw offers is amazing!

It's awful honestly. She's definitely not perfect, but we need more of that in the series. Having nothing but perfect characters just makes a story bland, and the fandom is quick to jump on anyone that is slightly flawed. It isn't until people look through the eyes of those they think are bad that they see there's more to the story. Goosefeather is a great example. (Having a constant point of view in ThunderClan doesn't make it any better either, since it looks like every other clan is evil when in fact they're just better written.)
