Height: 2,50m (8.2 ft) to the withers; more than 3m (9.8 ft) to the head when she carries it high.
Length: 4,4m (14.4 ft) from head to hind legs; 9,2m (30.2 ft) from head to tip of the tail.
Wingspan: 17,6m (57.7 ft) from the tip of a wing to the other, when wings spread.
Weight: 700kg (1543 lbs), quite heavy.

Description: Amayensis' anatomy is close to big cats'. Covered with small dark red-orange scales, her bulky, muscular body gives her impressive stature and strength.
She has a massive head, which shape is comparable to a square, with a large chin and two long striped horns. Each horn is covered by triangular scales. Just beneath, she has two small light purple eyes, and a short muzzle with mobile lips. Her teeth, dark colored, look like tiger teeth, ideal to a meat eater. Most of the time they are hidden under her lips.
Amayensis has a rather short but strong neck covered with angled spines on top and large protective dark-colored scales beneath. On each side is running a row of bone artifacts from head to shoulders.
Her whole back is covered with a row of small, dark red spines, that turn into long triangular spines on the tip of her reptilian tail.
The forelegs and hind legs have a considerable strength. Each foot is made of three dinosaur-like toes with sharp claws, plus a small thumb that doesn't have great utility.
Her membranous wings are medium-sized, a bit heavy; with five fingers on each. They are decorated with dark patterns that imitate the rays of the sun.

Abilities
Overall physical skills: Amayensis is not a fast runner, due to her weight, but has an incredible amount of stamina allowing her to walk, run or fly during several days without stopping.
Even with strong arms to carry her wings, her whole body is too massive to allow her to fly as well as she would like, which is why she's rather a glider. But she's still able to achieve complex aerial maneuvers on her good days.

Battle skills: Her short, muscular jaws with long canine teeth can't reach far distances but give her a powerful bite, which can penetrate almost every kind of common skin.
Despite her lack of overall agility, she is able of brutal accelerations with her claws and jaws, which makes her attacks almost as quick as a feline's. That might be quite surprising for someone fighting her for the first time. She has good reflexes and can give small, fast kicks, but can also thump very hard strikes at her foes with her strong forelegs and claws. She may use her tail as a sharp whip to hamper her opponent.

On a defensive point of view, she has a rather solid fire-proof skin, but far to be invincible. Hopefully her ventral scales protect efficiently the under-part of her body. She sometimes uses her horns as a shield.
One shall not forget to point out that Amay's main physical weakness is her heavy wings that may hinder her moves.

Power: Thanks to her Volcano Dragon nature, Amayensis is able to use lava as a deadly weapon that she can project on her foes. Everyday, she keeps a few liters of water and a certain amount of peridotite stones (up to 70kg/154lbs) into a special sac of her stomach, not very far from her throat. This sac is circled by muscles and hard mineral bones (perhaps with diamond, the hardest natural known mineral?), that are able, if she decides it, to powerfully squeeze this sac in order to increase the pressure inside up to 2.5 GPa (25 000 times the atmospheric pressure. It's the same pressure that exists underground at 80km/49.7miles under the surface of the Earth). At the same time, she can use the extremely efficient heat systems of her organism to concentrate and intensify her corporeal heat inside that very sac, up to 800°C (1472°F). Those incredible pressure and temperature, impossible to reach into any other type of living creature, allow the hydrated stones contained in her stomach to partially melt and produce a magma.
During the process, Amayensis breathes intensely; but all the gas created by her respiration (steam, carbon dioxide...) isn't released outside of her organism: thanks to a secondary circulatory channel, it accumulates into the lava sac instead, right under the forming magma, and generates progressively a growing bubble.
The whole process lasts between 30s and 2 minutes, depending on the initial quantity of stones. And when finally it's ready, the bubble explodes and violently pushes the magma up in the dragon's throat: she spits it from her mouth in the shape of a straight spiral column of lava at high speed on her enemy. Even if it's sometimes difficult to aim, when it strikes, it isn't hard to guess that this attack is highly powerful - as if a volcano erupted in one's face - but also very energy consuming. Moreover Amayensis is only able to effectuate it once in a while, because each time she does it, she ejects almost all the lava she was holding, and has to refill her reserves afterwards. This explains why, sometimes, one may see this dragon literally eating stones.

Side notes: The preparation of this attack is reversible until a certain point: when she has begun the process, she can stop it at any moment, until the gas bubble is too big to be evacuated without an explosion.
The considerable heat increase of her blood induced by the process is betrayed by an orange-yellow light glowing around her eyes and nose, and under the scales of her throat, of her horns and of her thorax. This light is visible from the beginning of the preparation to several minutes after the attack, when she's progressively cooling down.
Sometimes she uses that glowing trick only to scare her enemies off.
Actually, she dislikes spitting lava, firstly because it wears her out, but also because it intensely irritates her throat, which is comprehensible. She prefers using it as a last resort, when she knows she cannot win the fight with her bare claws.

Scientific remark: The magma produced in her stomach is similar to the one generated in the active subduction zones on Earth, where a piece of Earth crust slides under another. These are geologically very active areas where explosive volcanos with dense magma may form.

Psychological description
Amayensis is a rather good-tempered dragon, she's naturally calm and mature. However, saying that she's peaceful would be excessive: even if she doesn't generally mean to harm people, because of her pride, she will rarely answer no to a fight.
In some measure, she's a loner: she enjoys wandering around the world all alone, walking, flying at will, hunting prey, bathing in fresh water; but most of all, enjoying her liberty... And sunbathing!
At first sight she may seem a bit reserved to strangers, but eventually her curiosity will show up, and can make a closer relationship possible.

When she's with her friends or people she knows, she shows more easily her emotional side. However, one shall not forget that she's moody, and can be easily surprised or annoyed...
All on all, if you learn to know her a bit, and if it seems that she enjoys your company, you'll see that deep inside, she's a real sweetheart.

Nota-bene: Because of this dragon's color and affiliation to heat, and because in our culture volcanos are often associated with fire, one may think Amayensis is a Fire Dragon. This is wrong: volcanos are more affiliated with earth than with fire, as they are one of the expressions of our internal planet's strength and pressure. Therefore, as shown by her powers, Amay's definitely an Earth Dragon, and is part of the Volcano Dragon genera.
