Another Tioro sketchdump! Tioro is a dragon character created by Tahupon and myself.

Even if his design is quite simple (and tends to change a bit everytime I draw him), there is something I like in this guy.

So this was made as a test for different medias I'm likely to use to draw a webcomic.
Well, the uncolored portrait is only made with mechanical pencils; there isn't much to say except that I suck at drawing symetry o_o"
The two colored ones were made with various techniques, including markers; but it was challenging, for the only reason that my dark grey marker is currently slowly running out of ink and it's like HORRIBLE to color with that kind of thing (and to think it's the very same marker I used to draw my first colored picture of Tioro, back in 2012, just below. Too much emotion T_T)

(Wow, the improvement in this is impressive O_o)

So, hem, I used:
- Unipin black fineliners: for the outline.
- Promarkers: for the grey/black layer, and the gold on the horns (+ for the golden marks on the portrait, but not on the full-body), and for the eyes of the portrait.
- White Posca: it's like a thin marker with acrylic painting in it, I used it for the white dot in the eye. xD
- Caran d'Ache watercolor pencils: those were funny to use. I used a watered brush to pick the colors directly on the pencils, and lay them on the drawing; but the pencils themselves have not touched the paper. This allows a better blending of the colors into the drawing. Here I used a dark red/brown pencil to add colored tints on the too uniform black of the dragon; and white and grey pencils to add highlights. I also used a black pencil to add a bit of shades but most of them were already made with the Promarkers. Finally, I took yellow and orange pencils for the golden marks on the full-body only. But it seems that they aren't covering enough...
