Tankiste training at Chalais-Meudon photographed on December 20th, 1918A line of Char Canon and Char Mitrailleuse at the Chalais-Meudon training camp, photographed December 20th, 1918. This training camp had a course for aspiring members of the Artillerie Spéciale who would learn to drive and maintain their Renault FT. The third tank in line has the front portion of the turret removed to allow the instructor to guide the recruit driver while inside the tank.
