I dun want a monster in this one. There was one last time. Ukay, here it is:

β€œThanks for everything, Dakota. I mean it. I don’t know where I’d be without you.” I said softly, blushing. He turned toward me with one of his nervous grins on his face. His cheeks were red.
β€œI don’t know where I’d be, either. That’s… that’s why I’ve got something to tell you.” My eyes widened. Was he really saying this?
β€œYeah?” I breathed. He paused a bit before speaking.
β€œThese quests are dangerous, and… it’s too hard to lose the people you care about. So… if I ever lost you…” he paused for a bit, gathering what to say, it seemed like. He finally spoke again.

β€œSo… I thought… before I lost you… forever… I needed to give you this.” He whispered. He leaned in and his lips brushed my cheek. Soft, warm, and gentle. I gasped slightly as he pulled away slowly, softly, and I looked at him, breathing hard. His eyes sparkled, and looking into them, I knew exactly what to do. I leaned in closer, feeling his breath on my face.
