PLEASE LIMIT YOUR DISCUSSION OF MY FANART TO COMMENTS AND CRITIQUES OF THE ART AND HOW WELL OR POORLY I HAVE EXECUTED IT, **REFRAINING FROM OPINION-BASED REMARKS ABOUT THE PLOT AND CHARACTERS .** HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO WARN YOU GUYS?

Shigure Sohma, property of Takaya Natsuki, post-chapter-136 (final chapter) of the Fruits Basket manga, with his little girl, who IS *MY* FANCHARACTER, **NOT CANON**, ALTHOUGH SHIGURE MARRIES AKITO AT THE END AND IT IS IMPLIED THAT THEY WILL START A FAMILY SOON.

Aww! Shigure would make a rather weird father though....in my opinion. I love him all but he'd probably drive his children insane with ridiles and imbaresing stories...

A couple of things: First of all, I think that Shigure and Akito is not only a canon pairing, but also a really good one (if not perfect). Secondly, this comment does nothing to help Amber improve her art. This is an ART site, not a fansite. If you want to discuss the characters, and whether you think so-and-so should be together, or talk about who you hate, or anything like that, please do it at a fansite. If you want to discuss the characters on this piece of art, please keep it to CONSTRUCTIVE critique of the art itself (such as if you think that a particular technique could work really well, or perhaps ways to depict the attitude that comes across). Thank you.

Firstly,Why are you telling me this and shouldn't Amber herself be telling me this if she want's crtique? Secondly,why do you have to be so judgmental about how I comment on art? Constructive critique is what precisely?"OMG, I LOVE THIS?" Is that it? And finally,why should Shigure and Akito be a perfect couple and why are you telling me this? I have my opinion and you have yours so you have no right to tell me this.
PS: Why are you writing all of this in a comment for Amber's artwork? Is this even rellevant to the artwork?

No, the definition of constructive critique is addressing the artwork itself, as opposed to saying and I quote "WHAAAT SHIGURE AND AKITO LYKE WTF ZOMG!" lol

Would you prefer...Shigure looks bery loving and the pose is wonderful. The movement from the little girl is very apparent however due to shading,it's a bit blur at the sides.

Trust me,she thought I would be more responsible if she gave me a post in moniter for class and when I didn't get any better she gave up. She tried to teach me to sing and said no student who enetered a singin competition lost with this song...and I lost. In reply to your questions: Amber has repeatedly asked for constructive critique on numerous pieces of art and also in her journal. Feel free to go to her journal and look.
Perhaps I was judgmental about your comment. If I was, I'm sorry that I seem to have offended you.The reason I reacted as I did is because your comment really didn't help Amber, in fact, it struck me as the type of comment that she specifically asks that people refrain from making on her art.
Constructive critique would be something like "Perhaps the proportions are off. You may have done that intentionally, or not." Constructive critique is mentioning something that could be improved about the art, and maybe a suggestion. I don't know a lot about art, so I subscribe to the policy 'If you can't say something nice or helpful, don't say anything at all'. I either leave kind comments, or helpful critique (and that only if I know what I'm talking about). Otherwise, I don't say anything.
Why did I speak up? Because Amber's my friend, and I stand by her and stand up for her. Once again, I suggest you read her journal. She puts updates in her life there, and that is where the general public will get them. I don't feel that it's my place to disclose information about Amber's life to anyone except those she's asked me to pass messages on to.
You're right, you do have your right to your opinion, as do I. I'm not saying you don't. I'm only asking that if you want to discuss your opinion about the characters of Fruits Basket (or any other fandom), please do it at a fansite.
Finally, in reply to your first postscript, I was replying to your comment on Amber's art. I was replying to you, not Amber. Perhaps I should have sent you a note instead. I didn't think about that, to be honest. I wrote a comment of my own to Amber, one that, while not holding any critique, did hold encouragement and let her know that I like her work.
