I was having a delightful conversation with a couple fellow InuYasha fans recently about the developing respect between InuYasha and his absolutely awesomesauce stoic anti-hero older brother Sesshomaru. Generally speaking, the two used to have pure hatred and acrimony between them, but it's grown to more of an alpha male tolerating and quietly protecting his little brother out of respect for their father's memory sort of deal in the very most recent chapters of the manga (Sesshomaru is even responsible for freeing InuYasha from possession by the evil side of the now-intact Shikon Jewel). And if you've ever seen the third InuYasha movie, and know of the infamous scene near the end where Sesshomaru openly saves InuYasha's life and Miroku comments on it, you also know what I'm talking about.

LOL so I drew this little doodle of them happening to come across each other in a traditional Japanese bathhouse, a place of status and luxury in feudal as well as modern times, on their way out to a hotspring. Some stupid nobleman at the same place with the same pervy urges as Miroku (lol) comes upon them preparing to banter (or fistfight...er Poisonclaw/Ironreaver lol) in their sibling rivalry fashion, and seeing only their luxurious long silver haired heads submerged in water from behind, thinks them chicks, XDDDD and LOL tries to come on to them.

The result is them both deciding to attack the idiot LOL.

LAWL and their manner of attack, and their way of interacting while doing so, exemplifies to me their current relationship. WHICH YOU MUST FULL VIEW TO SEE. PLEASE.

Lol it's basically like:

Inuyasha: *bitching about the person and dancing around frantically, not thinking before he acts, but having an admirable degree of zeal lol* BLAHBLAHBLAHI'MMALIGHTTHATMOTHATRUCKAUP!

Sesshomaru: shhhhhhh.... T_@; *ears explode lol*

Inuyasha: WHUT I AM! *supersonic pitch*

Sesshomaru: *totally calculating and focused on target, prepared to strike* I SAID stfu genius, I can't think....

They don't exactly "love" each other just yet or get along, but LOL there is an interesting cranky sort of rapport between them these days. I won't even go into how I sort of can empathize with Sesshomaru and older siblings and children of errant fathers and the fear of losing control of emotions leading you to compartmentalize and seal off your emotions altogether and...stuff lol. It's just fascinating. If you ever want to talk about these two, feel free to note me.

I'm sorry I have to disable comments. In this case it's not so much due to flamers as because I just DO NOT HAVE TIME to reply to everyone, and in fairness, will just reply to no one. And as it's only fanart (no offense, fanartists <<; ) it's not like I have a burning urge to know how to improve it anyway. PLEASE devote time and attention to my ORIGINAL art, though. I ALWAYS love comments and critiques on that.
