Inked sketch, did it when laid up and too sick to study a few nights ago.

Make sure to full view so you can read their dialogue. It's a rather ironic exchange that captures a faint echo of their past antagonistic relationship. >X} But only an echo.

Post-TRY, Xellos treats Val, the monster/ancient dragon hybrid reborn under the care of golden dragon Filia, with a kind of detached curiosity and fascination, and Val finds this weird man that mommy yells at but seems to also love to be fun company. A great irony, as, in Val's former life, they were bitter enemies--but Val's not a threat to the mazoku anymore, he's just a pure dragon again, not half as powerful as they are...so Xellos no longer has a harmful agenda towards the kid. And Xellos, the ultimate impassive pragmatist, not much of a believer in poetic justice or righteous revenge or any of that crap, is fine letting bygones be bygones.

I like the idea of them goofing around on occasion. I DON'T like the idea of Xellos committing completely unnecessary infanticide (he never does anything just for the sake of doing it--again, a pragmatist who operates by three things: necessity, orders from a superior, and self-survival), NOR do I like the idea of Xellos the loving, adoptive daddy because I'm all about fluff but THAT'S so OOC and saccharine that it makes my teeth hurt Sorry, to anyone who disagrees with me. I know I have three supporters lol in and when I say this Xellos is not a paternal type. I can see him being FRIENDS with the kid, but...yeah.
