I can definitely feel all the facial expressions in the second one. Nice job.
I also like the detail of Val's tail wrapping around Xellos's leg. Gives me ideas. *rubs chin thoughtfully* Hrm...

The sketches are up to your usual, entirely unfair to call mere sketches, quality, which means I'm green with envy. Again. Dangit.
But I really like the last one for how it's not just a picture with speech bubbles, but the way it really seems like a comic page in composition. Splitting off the last word to the second panel was a great touch.
