There's an AU (which belongs to truekrisstianity.tumblr.com/ ) that's quite popular currently on Tumblr in my favourite fandom, and I've been wanting for months to draw it. It was hard for me to get out of my comfort zone and draw something shippy for once, but finally I've felt motivated enough to do it once I've heard that some people with nothing to do in life try to spitefuly steal this AU, only because they don't like this pairing.*coughs*
There's a lot of posts describing what this AU is about, but in very short it's a universe where the roles between characters are sort of reversed, meaning that here Zim and basically all the Irkens are a peaceful & happy race that wants to be friends with the whole cosmos, and Dib is a douche who wants nothing to do with Zim and anything paranormal. But Zim for some reason chose Dib out of all humans on Earth to befriend, so a lot of dumb stuff happens.

Professor Membrane canonically has a bone in his hair, and since Dib is his clone then y'know, kinda obvious. If I remember correctly Jhonen himself said something that they both have a boned tentacle on their heads that is strong enough to crush walls, but he says weird & usually not true facts about the show all the time so I dunno. Dib did indeed run into a wall with his head and destroy it in the movie tho, and Membrane used his hair as a tentacle in the show once, so a lot of people treat this one as canon xD

I dunno if Jhonen would want to explore this specific AU, since he seems to be allergic to any lovey dovey stuff in IZ, but in the recent comics it has been confirmed that there is indeed an infinite number of dimensions in IZ (in one Zim even has bug wings). So every IZ AU ever made is technically canon xD
