Introducing the Holy Queen of the Monstera 👑

Here is the line work for an Instagram Draw This In Your Style Challenge from last summer that I forgot about. It started with a few rough practise sketches, most of that one hand, before being pencilled and then inked. The ink was just starting to dry as the sun was setting and as gorgeous as it turned I knew it was missing something. Monstera leaves are huge and demand so much attention but here they seem to fall back more into decoration, the following day I added a little colour to make them more striking. That post will follow later on, so come back later to find out how it turned out 😘

A challenge that I often face with my work is that the facial expressions are never as expressive as I would care for them to be. Though her expression is not quite as I had imagined it to be I'm pleased that there was still an air of "I'm so important and utter uninterested" in her pose. Or at least that's what I see, let me know if you find that as well, it not what do you think she's saying?
