The ambient colorization is nice, but there really isn't much else to the piece that garters attention. Make more prominent star formations, add in a more detailed and varied nebula cloud, even try and build on the refracted shine. There's so much you can do to make this piece better.

The lighting from the star in the distance. Also the fractal effect has got to go (it looks a bit tacky).
