Description
It always bothered me that we only had logos for five of the D'ni guilds, so I found one of the logos used to advertise each of the guilds when they were introduced, traced over it in Microsoft Paint, and then changed the colours to suit the guild.Only one colour is of my choosing; that of the Guild Of Fine Artists, which didn't list a colour. Dark Grey was the only colour that hadn't been used, so I used that by default. It still doesn't seem quite right that an art group is represented by Grey, but it'll do for now.
The Myst series (of which the D'ni Guilds are a part of) are copyright Cyan Worlds, Inc.

I'm trying to do some D'ni costuming and having trouble finding references, and a couple of things in your description caught my eye. First, you mention logos for five of the guilds, and I only know about the Maintainers' (seen all over Gahreesen). Where do you find four more? Second, where'd you get the logo you used for these? And third, the one that led me here, I see a chart of guid colors on drcsite.org and the same ones in a list on en.mystlore.com, but I can't find any canon source for these (unless drcsite.org is considered canon). Do you know of somewhere else? I'm especially curious because if the description of the Writers in black trimmed with red and Surveyors wearing simply blue comes from the line in the Book of Ti'ana that I think it does, then it's wrong by my reading. "The first's black cloak trimmed in bright red, the second's in a pale blue" says to me that both cloaks are primarily black. Sorry if this is a bit much, but I don't really know who to ask about these things.

Right, I forgot that Online has more than Complete Chronicles. My crap internet has a monthly limit, so I haven't been able to update (and thus play) in months. It seems to me that English grammar makes the sentence unambiguous - both cloaks must be primarily black, but I agree that the trim refers to the guild color, and more likely every ordinary guildsman in the council wears a primarily black cloak. Thanks for the new reference, though! I've been looking for something just like this.

No, no, I love discussing these sort of things! Let's see...
1. Six guild logos can be seen in Uru:Myst Online; Writers, Cartographers and Messengers are emblazoned on the walls of their Guild Pubs; Maintainers is too, but it is also located all over the place. Cartographers is the symbol on the Minkata book, which can also be seen on Aitrus' map to the surface - old DRC photos suggest their Guild Pub was meant to be accessible in-game, but it got replaced with a different Guild. The modern Guild of Greeters has a logo in a Guild Pub, but it's not clear whether this was once a logo for something else or if someone added it. I seem to recall all the pictures - specifically, stylised and coloured versions of the ones seen in-game - can be found on this site; [[link]
2. Umm...don't recall. I think it was located on the above site, but it might have been on another Myst site. Basically, that was a Guild logo used by the DRC to refer to the modern Guilds, and so it showed up a bit when they first announced them.
3. Yes, the DRC site is to be considered canon. It's the same as the information that appears in Uru itself; it's what the DRC Workers have discovered about D'ni by exploring it and researching the various artifacts left behind.
It's probably just awkward phrasing in the Book of Ti'ana - they meant Aitrus was wearing pale blue completely - but it could also suggest that a Guildsman wore clothing with their Guild Colours located on it somewhere, so that people could still identify their rank even if they weren't wearing their normal outfit?

Could you recommend me anything I can learn about the Guilds from?

I have always like these modern logos. I like the generic look, only a colour to sperate the guilds.
