Thank you so much! I miss them too. I grew up watching them, and their work still stands as the best Holmes adventures on film. Their friendship (onscreen and in life) was amazing.

Thanks! I love realism. I should paint them sometime, but pen and ink seemed more proper for the Victorian "Penny Dreadful" publication feeling I wanted for them. I love Holmes and Watson.

Awesome : D. Yeah, its fitting since the original Holmes stories was in the magazine/penny novel style. So do I. I grew up on the Granada Jeremy Brett series : D. I've had Holmes on my mind a lot recently because I took a class called Literature and Culture of Empire (Victorian England) and one of the books was The Sign of Four and I was involved in a group presentation on it. : D

Thank you! I really enjoy traditional pen and ink drawing. It's so much fun to draw faces with a billion little lines.

Very true. I was sad to hear of Edward Hardwicke's passing. They were a fantastic pairing on the series, and my blueprint for the term "heroes" when I was growing up.

You're very welcome. So did I, however I was introduced to the series until years later when a friend of mine noticed that I loved the Disney film The Great Mouse Detective. So that movie basically helped introduce me to everything. To be honest, I actually thought Sherlock Holmes was a real person until proven otherwise.
Oh and thank you so much for adding this picture to the group!

You're welcome! I love "The Great Mouse Detective." (And all things Sherlock, really). It's a great film to spark anyone's interest in Sherlock Holmes.
And there are a lot of Sherlockian fans who insist he WAS a real person. I choose to believe it.
