Description The Morrigan is a complicated goddess. When considered as a single entity, she is the "phantom queen", a mysterious figure with foreknowledge of doom and death in battle. She was said to fly high above skirmishes in the form of a crow, circling endlessly as men fought and died below. There are even a few (very few, she's picky) accounts of her actually joining the battle for one side over the other. There is also evidence that a very long time ago she was deeply tied to the land- evidently, cattle are involved. She was the guardian of Ireland itself, representative of its fertility and sovereignty- an earth goddess ready to punish any who defiled her island. Take that, Rome.

Did I ever say that I adore your pictures?
When I look at the color scheme you are using for this picture, there are only greens and blacks and some beak.
Very suitable for the goddess
But then there are all these living structures, so much contrast and so much interesting and vivid things in the picture

Thank you so much!  Yeah, I try to focus on a more limited palette for atmosphere and mood, if that makes sense.  She's not a very colorful goddess, so I slathered her in indigo and vandyke brown, lol.
