THIS IS WHY JACK IS MY GO-TO GAL, GODDAMMIT.I didn't have Miranda's loyalty the first play-through, but wasn't about to let her incompetence get Garrus killed, so I reloaded the second I got the chance.
But for my latest Shep I decided to give her another shot, since I was able to break up the fight btw her and Jack (with the renegade option).
She still failed D: WTF MIRANDA.
This time I just continued on, though. It sucked, but I figured fuck it.

I know Jack and Samara are the ones to bring.
The first incident happened the very first time I played, and didn't know. The second time happened on my 5th Shep, to try someone other than Jack or Samara.
Clearly, I learned my lesson. >.> Back to the fire team with you, Miranda, you butthead.

I posted this (and the above edit) a few years ago and I still get people popping by every so often and telling me how to survive the suicide mission. wat

man... that sucks. I think I would have cried if I'd lost Garrus. I picked Jack first time through. lots of people seem to pick Samara though. *shrug* I just thought Jack would be stronger than Samara.

I never trusted Miranda... too spoiled and jack, she is a biotic goddess so it should gave been obvious to choose her! XD at least it was for me :3... now I feel bad about getting everyone out alive the first time <: (

I refused to finish the suicide mission without him D: I reloaded asap and swapped Miranda out w/ Samara.

In all fairness, Thane is also an option for a biotic and he can't do it either...although it doesn't help Miranda's case that she...implies she, or anyone, can do it. She is a lying liar who lies. I make the effort to do the opposite of what she says

Yeah, I knew ppl like Thane wouldn't be any good, but I figured Miranda, being a pure biotic and boasting about it a couple times, would be about on par with Jack. :<

I used Legion. I though "Is a fucking robot, who is better to use biotics?", because I link biotics with nanomachines, I don't know why. But it worked, so whatever xDDDD

She makes a good fire team leader; I used her for that, once. But omg I was so frustrated when she failed at biotics. DX YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE PERFECT, WOMAN.
But yeah, I usually stick with Samara. Jack almost always goes with me on the final team (shockwave ftw).

I always just went with Samara. The fact that Miranda tries waaay too hard, but is supposedly "perfect" just sets off alarm bells.

Strangely, I once saw a player pick Samara to lead the fire team, and Miranda actually approved. She said something like, "Hm. Skilled and disciplined. I like it." Sadly, it didn't work

Miranda seems to not be a good enough biotic. I prefer to use Samara, but I do occasionally use Jack.

I stuck to Samara for awhile, then hesitantly tried Jack and realized she's just as good (so long as she has the implants, anyway), so I swap btw the two.

I actually used Jack on my first playthrough, along with romancing her (with Jack Shepard 
It was awesome. Jack's romance is one of the best ones in a group of well-written romances and with that background, slowly bringing her out of her spiky shell and then hearing her say 'let's go commander' and 'ready, commander' like she actually meant it was just... sublime.
Samara; never had a doubt about her. A lady of war if there ever was one. Tali and Garrus were the only ones that Shepard trusted more.
Didn't choose her for fire team leader though. She has lots of experience, but in working solo, not in groups.
Miranda never was a choice for me for the biotic mission really. She's a powerful biotic, yes, but her power tree never inspired any confidence in me when it came to that level of biotics.
She's good, but she simply wasn't suited for that particular task in my eyes.

I've been really wanting to do another male Shep just so I can romance Jack, but I just don't enjoy playing with the male Shepards. I'll have to do it some day, though. I wish Bioware hadn't decided against letting her and Miranda be romanceable by femSheps.

I just prefer to play as females in games when given the choice. They're easier to relate to, to me they're more badass, and yeah, in this case, the male Shep's voice acting was pretty dull.
