I heard there was a restored one at a museum in Germany as well. I don't know if it runs. Awesome picture.

True but did you know that there parts of a tiger tank in poland, so if someone buys the parts they could easily put it back together and have a real life tiger tank.
True story.

The only problem you'd have is keeping the thing running!

I am German and I am still wondered why this Tank become so famous... I mean it couldnΒ΄t change the war... The Panther was technical better because of its weight it was more reliable... but more famous and respected is the Tiger^^

It was deadly because of its 88 mm long-ranging main canon that could fire at a distance at over 2000 yards.

Bad news. The Tiger in Sweden is actually a replica. Only just found that out. But I think the Tiger in Russia is real

Agreed always liked the look of this tank. Not something I would have wanted to tangle with in combat. Glad there is still one in working order...
Nice image.

Tiger 131 was a rare prize for the Allies, IRC, it took a penetrating hit that scared the crap out of the crew and caused them to abandon the tank, Allied forces promptly closed in and captured it intact; the hit had only damaged the hull, so 131 was promptly shipped to Britain and run through numerous tests to see just what this new terror weapon could really do; because of this, very little restoration was ever needed.
