Description
COMPLETED PIECE: fav.me/d9mlqjcI use PAINT TOOL SAI and a WACOM INTUOS MEDIUM
Oh my god this took so much longer than I thought. I thought it'd take a while but oh my god so much planning.
I hope I didn't overexplain or underexplain anything! If I did then I'm so sorry. Also I notice a bunch of spelling/gramma issues. So sorry about that, I guess I was writing up too quickly but I don't think its worth going back and fixing. If you don't understand what I'm saying then feel free to just ask me and I'll explain it best I can a second time.
I also switch between saying "color" and "colour" a lot, sorry again! I'm canadian and am supposed to use Canadian spelling with "Colour" but I keep derping, sorry.
My brush settings were just found by collecting and looking through different posts on deviantart and tumblr. I don't remember many of the sources sorry, except for the lineart brush.
Okay now for the resources used
Lineart Brush: ptsbrushes.tumblr.com/post/813…

Hair Color Palettes: fav.me/d4nq8n8 by Mytherea
Eye Palette/Tutorials: fav.me/d6dfou2 by lostie815 || fav.me/d520j2y by Qinni

Other Textures: snaappy.tumblr.com/post/751153…
Other really good resources!!
fav.me/d6apqnh by viria13 ----> viria explains the use of coloured lineart a lot better than me!! She shows what it does an a bunch of other techniques as well. This is where I learned it from.
fav.me/d31xj5t by glitchedpuppet ----> I don't really talk about how I choose my colours very well, i'm quite vague. It's because color is such a huge and broad subject that i absolutely CAN'T fit it into here. Not to mention I'm not very good at it just yet either, this is me derping around. This is a VERY in depth tutorial about how color works and stuff and it's super useful. Even a brief skim will give you some very solid and great information. I strongly suggest reading through even a little bit of this.
fav.me/d4t0uj6 by ZenithOmocha --- > just another process that gives really great results but are bit different to mine.
fav.me/d6iorbm by littleulvar ---- > if you're more interested on how to paint beautifully (this is how I wish I could draw and paint tbh but I rely too much on my lineart)
fav.me/d68pz4c by Spudfuzz ----> really large array of different color combinations that is great to quick color picking!!
ptsbrushes.tumblr.com/post/892… ----> A blog that reblogs a lot of different artist's paint tool sai brushes!! great if you're looking for new brushes to try out. I've specifically linked their "resources" page, but if you want to reach the blog posts then just click their large blue title!)
There is so much more to talk about and so many more resources to give but it'll take forever I've already spent like an hour just finding stuff omfg... okay just check out my own resources folder, right here: amiritec.deviantart.com/favour…
I got a lot of stuff from a lot of different artists and very kind souls. Check it out if you need something!!
I'll post the drawing itself soon, I promise. It's so late here and I'm trying to get to bed earlier and my friend is coming over tomorrow too haha...
Hope I didn't forget anything. If I did just shout and I'll add it in here quickly. Oh my god I'm so proud that I got this finished. ahhh
k bai

I did that too for a while, just changing my brush settings all the time! but then I got pretty lazy and stopped and realized i needed some new brushes that worked well for me, so I did some hunting and came up with the ones i got!
I jsut really liked how the lineart looks being blended with the other colours, I could never use solid lineart it felt weird to me.
I LOVE the marker tool too! If I was told to only use one tool I'd probably choose marker. It just works really well.
It feels great to be done! The process of making it was fun as well but I kept having to shrink my images and I worry the quality isn't too great, but I think it's fine.
Thanks so much!
