Description
The Swamp Spider is an unusual inhabitant of the bengal wetlands. Stalking the mud on spidery legs like the fiddler crabs they replaced, these belligerent fish make a colorful sight as they alternately suck the mud for nutriment and engage in roaring displays with dorsal fins erect. This individual is a brooding male. The yellow spots on its modified caudal fin are eggs.
