Ahhh, and the red leaves...did you color it like that? It looks just AMAZING. It's like a red carpet laid before the traveller. Wha! Great picture baby!

How the hell did I not comment on this one before!??!! This looks like a painting! Beautiful! I love the colors and how your put a border around it. And did you write that opening sentence? That's really nice! If in fact you wrote that opening sentence, I proclaim this picture to be the best Picture/Poem combo that you have. What a beautiful line to write alongside such a vibrant picture. Awesome baby!!!!

haha Thank you, I did enhance the colours to make the red so distinct, It's actually the path we take to my ravine.
And yes I did write the opening Thanks for the compliment

This reminds me of that scene in The Shining where the elevator door opens, and all the blood pours out over the hotel lobby!
(I spent my autumn in a dank basement studying calculus.. I'm cool like that!)

Why go outdoors, when I can enjoy quality time underground, screaming at my Differential Equations Textbook like a turrets patient?
God, I hate math.

Loverly. Did you up the saturation on this, or do you really get leaves that red where you are? Up here, we don't get ANY red leaves - only orange and yellow.
Love your description too - adds a dash of depth to a pretty image.

ok, I tried replying twice- once the thing froze and the second time I went to copy it just incase it froze again and instead of doing that I deleted it! UHGGGG!! Anyhooo. Last try lol. Thank you! I upped the contrast and saturation on this one, I only tend to edit when I feel the emotion/energy that was there when I took the photo wasn't properly capture- which happens often I find. Otherwise I try not to edit much. Does that even make any sense?
No red leaves?? That's such a shame, here we get every shade and colour, especially this year since the days have been warm and the nights cold!

Ya it's not bad, we have absolutly no sense of self-identity. But otherwise things are peachy here- warmer then where you are- crazy crazy girl. What's the coldest it get to generally in winter? *hugs* for wamness.

Coldest in the winter...hmm...depends on the year, and it has been warmer of late. But there are generally a couple -40F days every year. And a couple weeks of -20F. Though mostly -15-ish. Not tooo bad.

-40!! eeek. I think the coldest here in recent times has been close to -30. Hmm -15 isn't too shabby- how's the wind up there though? I find the wind more then the cold chills my bones

hmm...wind. I have to admit I don't pay a lot of attention to it. Mostly we're running from warm building to warm car. There have been a few times it blew like MAD though. Toppled one of our birch trees last year!

ooh i hate when tree's break, some of ours split last week.. so sad. Although I think its worse when they pull them out to build new unneeded plazas or houses. Poor trees.
