Description
“A Morbid Curiosity”
Tyrannosaurus rex, Edmontosaurus annectens. An acrylic painting of Helushka, the Tyrannosaurus, watching a young Edmontosaurus he crippled trying to fruitlessly writhe away.
This was directly inspired by an idea floated by The Skeleton Crew in their Prehistoric Planet season 2 teaser breakdown (namely Alex). This comes from the occurrence of predators like cats and raptors maiming their prey, just to watch the animal still try to scurry away in futility.
Completed in early January 2024.
Done using acrylics, color pencils, and Photoshop 2021.
