Tyrannosaurus rex. An acrylic painting of a 11-12 year old Tyrannosaurus.

This is a part of a planned Tyrannosaurus rex ontogeny series that I have been planning on doing since last year. After a few itterations of my Tyrannosaurus, I decided to use the adult male Tyrannosaurus reconstruction I did a little before the summer as a starting point fav.me/dd7pe7b . There will be three other stages planned for this series besides this and the 25 year old stage, which I will be starting not too long from now (hopefully). My goal is to put them all together in an illustration to showcase the growth of a Tyrannosaurus.

I began the pencil work on this during a camping trip I was on a few months ago. It took me a few tries to get the pose the way I wanted it.

Completed in late August 2019.

Done using acrylics, color pencils and Photoshop CC.
