“The Revenant Redux”

Tyrannosaurus rex. An acrylic painting of my Tyrannosaurus, the Revenant, stalking his quarry at night. He is the specter of the foreboding Maastrichtian Forest, Taur-e-Ndaedelos.

This is a revisit of my old 2016/2017 painting, The Revenant, a piece that had become outdated in a few months thanks to the Bell paper. I have been anxious to create a redux of this piece for a few years and finally found the time to do it.

I decided to use a more surreal color scheme with this one, to go with the Halloween theme I was going with.

Completed in late October 2021.

Done using acrylics, color pencils, and Photoshop 2020.
