Drawing chibi monsters is always a great way to relieve stress. I thought doing Shagaru Magala would be a fun idea, because, as players of Monster Hunter know, he is one SCARY monster, especially when you fight him for the first time.Related content

Lolz, I loved fighting the Shagaru Magala, I was super confident because of the fact it hilariously easy since I farmed about 20 Gore Magalas for its armor and to upgrade the insect glaive as much as I could at low rank (Gore is giving me a dirty look, dude, I'm not heartless, now hush!) I seriously feel sorry for all of those Gore Magalas that I killed. ;-;

Well, at least the weapons have some insane affinity as you upgrade them. Seriously, I remember the Greatsword having at least 45% affinity before even entering the Shagaru stage- without Expert skills. And looking back at the context, I can see why people would be scared. I don't even know why I wasn't. I just ate a quick meal and (possibly, it's been a while since this moment) restocked my item pouch before marching off with my un-upgraded Dah'ren Mohran Switch Axe to face what I think was my first ever Elder Dragon.

Yeah me too. I was surprised how easy he was against my gore magala glaive; I later found out dragon weapons are super effective against him like in Pokemon. Are dragon weapons that good against all elder dragons?

Last I heard, yes. You can double check me on this, but I think armor made from a certain monster (Seltas, Zamtrios, Gammoth, etc.) reflects its elemental weaknesses and resistance. And oh ho, a fellow Pokemon fan?
