I found this picture drawn by Tracy Yardley (his DA account here: ), an artist for the official Sonic The Hedgehog comic series from Archie Comics, as a commission for :telofax.deviantart.com/art/Sal…
I have never read the Archie Comics, but I have always been enamoured of the digital lynx form that NICOLE takes in holographic projections. So this image really jumped out at me, and, as I commented on it:
"Someone oughta colour this in! It deserves it!"
So... I decided to. I based the colour scheme off of these two pics, each from the official Archie comic:

I rather like how this turned out. The scan accidentally removed a bit of the vitality of the original colours, but it kinda worked out for NICOLE's dress, because I accidentally coloured in the highlights of her dress a little too brightly.
Don't they look a bit like a lovey-dovey girl-couple, though? lol

Thank you! As I said, I had official Archie Comics images on hand when I was colouring in these *coughlovebirdscough* --excuse me, colouring these two in, so the colours are more or less completely accurate to how it would look in the comic.

Thanks! I had images of Sally & NICOLE as they appear in the comic next to me as I was colouring this in, so that I could get the colours as accurate as possible.
Now, if Tracy Yardley would comment on this, it would be perfect...!

Well, in the comics, they're not a couple. I mean, Archie would have to be REALLY bold to make a creative decision like THAT.
No, NICOLE is an AI that was created by Sally's friend Rotor in the future, sent back in time so that there can be a NICOLE in the past (well, the present of the comics). Apparently, NICOLE ends up destroyed at some point in those ensuing 25 years. When she and Sally accidentally swap bodies (Sally ends up in that little computer in the middle, and NICOLE ends up in Sally's body), NICOLE becomes intrigued by 'emotions', and creates a holographic form with which she can interact with people. She is currently the AI operating New Mobotropolis.
But yeah, if something VERY BAD (IOW, death) happens to Sonic, for some reason, I can picture something happening between Sally & NICOLE.
