This is the finished version of this:

This was my final project for computer illustration, spring of 2010. I was a sophomore! Oh yeah.

The project was to create 3 narrative illustrations (as detailed in the WIP-version in my scraps, above).

Each panel contains at least one photographic resource collected by myself, the rest of it is painted in Photoshop. The backgrounds in all three are altered photos - the middle illustration is the least altered of the three. Textures incorporated include wood grain (from my desk!) on the ducks, dirt on the hen, and a second, different image of dirt for the Duckling/Cignet and the other swans.

There are several things that tie them together stylistically, least of all the style the characters are drawn/painted in! Each one has darkened/desaturated edges as well...

Each one was designed and created separately, but are meant to be viewed together. They are a narrative, after all!
