I love the composition! A great capture with an effective aperture, I think the bird would have been lost in the background had it been a larger depth

Thanks, I would prefer even shallower dof but this is the best I could do given my lens and the bird's distance.

Nice action shot. I always seem to be a split second too late for this type of photo. I always end up with a bird butt hanging halfway off the edge of the photo.

Thanks, it happens to me quite often too, but what helps me incredibly is my camera that can take about 6-7 shots per second and on at least one of them the bird isn't cut in half.
