Description
I've been watching Carnivale this last couple of weeks and it has finally crept into my subconscious and back out into my art...55x56 cm acrylic ink, paint on hand made paper.

Lovely composition and I like how you have use a combinationof strong and paler colors. It really gives the paiting depth and structure...
I love the combinatio of the purple, blue and green, it is just such good colors together...

Hey Sara, Thanks so much for the lovely comments. I'm trying to transfer what I've learnt from my smaller works to larger ones. I like the square format too, so its been a good experiment, I think I'll have to do a few more... Glad you approve.

How big is this compared to your other works?
I know it can be very hard to go from smaller works to larger ones or the other way around. Things just don't work in the same way...
I love experimenting with the format as well, it is amazing what a difference it can make... I also use tape and maskingtape to experiment with, to give new lines, frames and such...
It is fun to do new things...

This is roughly 55 x 55cm The rectangular format paintings tend to be about A3 size - a little smaller. Sizes on my description usually.
I agree it is fun, but a bit of a challenge at times...

Well its nice when its wet, but I think it would have a good texture for dry drawings too.. You should try it and see what happens. Experimentation is the best way to learn afterall!
