Yes. Russia was crushed as a country in the 1500s-1600s after a series of wars (hence why Poland is so big). The British grabbed Siberia at the peace conferences and rule it via a massive corporation a la OTL India. The color changes on the other maps indicate the the British Empire was in a state of civil war. Russia obviously went with the rebels, while the other colonies stayed loyal to the crown. It seems that the crown won.
