Friendly: He tends to consider everyone a friend, only dropping that mindset if it's clear that someone doesn't like him, or if they're higher ranked than him.

Wary: While not being outwardly rebellious, he doesn't tend to trust authority figures right off the bat, unless they leave a friendly impression on him.

Curious: Jay likes knowing about everything that's going on. That can lead him to pry a bit when talking to other gems, even though he doesn't like when gems do the same to him. He never means any harm.

Defensive: If gems poke fun at him or don't mind his privacy, he can get defensive very fast.

Socially Awkward: Although he is very friendly, Jay sometimes has trouble picking up on social cues, which can lead to uncomfortable situations. When those arise, he tends to laugh it off or ignore the problem, leading to more discomfort.

The two grew very close, seeing each other as "twins" (although they don't refer to each other as such, as they don't know the word). While the two have been out of contact due to being separated for their separate duties, he still hopes to reunite with her. He's happy with the equality that RRO provides, but still dreams of escape to find his sister. He was very hopeful that he'd get an entertainment position under RRD, but was woefully let down.
