A few months later..

Isha trotted away from the hideaway and up the hill, leaving Ash and Mona to stay and watch it. Ash had decided to stay after getting to know her new family more. Isha and Mona had been very kind and soon Ash became a motherly figure to Mona which Isha was grateful for. Although he was able to teach Mona to survive, Ash had the motherly instinct that Isha could never really have. It was a mare thing.

Isha had decided to patrol the area, making sure that no stallions dared to take his home or his family. He had grown stronger and more confident, ironically thanks to Mona and a little bit of Ash. He couldn’t have asked for a better family. But Isha also knew that his herd would need to expand if he wanted his bloodline to live on. So once he finished patrolling, he traveled a little farther, hoping to come across a mare. He came across some traveling bachelors who told him of a meadow not far from here where mares and even stallion went in search for a herd. Isha was intrigued and found himself making his way to the meadow.

after a couple hours travel, Isha finally made it to the meadow. It was full of horses looking for a new band or trying to claim members for their own band. Isha scanned the area, looking for a mare that caught his eye. He landed on a beautiful palomino mare with a slightly swollen belly. Isha trotted down the hill towards her.

”Hello there miss-“ Isha began to say, but was quickly cut off.

”I’m pregnant, just so you know.” The mare gave a sheepish smile, obviously meaning no ill-intent.

Isha looked confused at first but chuckled at the mare’s words. “I’m guessing that’s a turn off for the stallions talked to you?” He asked.

”You have no idea..” She laughed lightly and shook her head.

”I’m sorry to hear that..”

Isha began telling his story. How he was saved by none other than a foal and how they decided to stay together and help each other. He then mentioned how they came across Ash who then decided to stay with them, which made Mona extremely happy.

”Aw, that sounds like such a cute family!” The mare exclaimed. “I wish to have a happy family like that..” She then went on that she had began a herd with a bachelor, she being his first mare. She quickly became pregnant but they ran into some two-leggeds and he was taken away. Ever since, she had been on her own. She came here in hopes of finding a kind stallion who would take her in and take care of both her and her foal.

”Well...” Isha began and the mare looked at him, interested. “Our here isn’t very big but I’m sure Ash and Mona would love to have you join us. And I’m sure Mona would love to have another foal to play with.” He laughed. He looked at the mare expectantly. She seemed to be thinking. She was deciding whether to take up on his offer.
