Description
Judges all over the world who send their condemned to the DAMNADAS Corp. to be executed are interested in the predators DAMNADAS have to execute the condemned in a thrilling and natural way...
So this is a little excerpt from one of the DAMNADAS brochures about their beasts that explaining a little bit about the popular Smilodon fatalis and what thrilling adventures are waiting for the audience... and for the condemned:
The genetc reconstruction of Smilodon fatalis is one of DAMNADAS most popular predators. You can expect a thrilling hunt of this prehistoric killer on your condemned and an interesting way how they usually kill their human prey with a crushing brutal bite through the eye-sockets and impaling its brain with their massive fangs... followed by the victims guttural gurgling and convulsive twitching that can last for minutes until its nervous system will finally break down... Especially the female audience love to see how S. fatalis is subduing even the strongest man and turning every muscular hunk into cat food! Only some larger bones will remain of a condemned after our S. fatalis has feasted on him...
---------------------------------
Just another DD (DAMNADAS Doodle) to try out some new improvements on the DAZ MilBigCat. Done in DS 4.6, PaintShop Pro X4, AM's awesome "Look at my Hair"-Plugin, Hexagon 2.5 and 8" long fangs...
This was a little posing-test to see how this bite of a Sabertooth would inflict a poor victim... I think, it turned out as a beastly (and maybe slow) way to die: The cat's fangs didn't penetrate the brain directly as i supposed it but only in some lower regions... maybe they would cut off the carotid arteries to the victims brain... but only after they have crushed their way trough the entire skull before... wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.

Was just reading the account of smilodons performing a bite attack like this, only on the posterior hominid skull, from Mauricio Anton. So, these things do happen! chasingsabretooths.wordpress.c…

Excellent render and looks really good overall. I would put this more as a Homotherium killing bite. Smilodon teeth are probably too fragile and seem to have been used to slash soft flesh, probably taking out major arteries such as in the neck and, in really big prey, slicing open the stomach. It appears to have been slow (faster than a person though), not good at stalking (could not stomach crawl) but super powerful. Some others such as Homotherium may have been able to stand like a bear.

Glad you like my 3D-version... I remembered your work and this was a little "would it work in 3D too?"-test. The most surprising was that the cat's fangs didn't impale the victims brain as i supposed but more "grabbing" around it...
Originally planned as a fast, clean kill it turned out as a gruesome, maybe slow death for the victim

Will there be a version of this with blood and no x-ray?

This is only the "family friendly version" for advertising-purposes to give a first impression of the unusual way how this massive cats commonly kill human prey... The scientists of DAMNADAS are mostly sure that this bite was developed by evolution especially for finishing human victims off, but there is still a controversial debate how the victim die... As their studies shown, the long fangs didn't penetrate the victims brain much enough to kill it instantly and after applying this bite there is always a lot of guttural gurgling and convulsive wriggling, twitching and kicking of the prey while the cat is dragging it to the eating site... it's a perfect bite to break the resistance of human prey, to hold and to carry it away... all in one! Most of the DAMNADAS scientists think, the victim is simply bleeding to death during it was dragged away... It is always a bloody mess... And if it is still alive when the successful hunter has reached a cozy place to enjoy its meal, it didn't has to change its bite... it only increase its bite force and crack up the skull to got on the tasty brain
DAMNADAS has planned to introduce this interesting predator in a higher level of "The Run" to the remaining runners... if some runners are still alive to got an intensive lesson about its hunting and killing tactics

Incredibly well done!! Now I would love to see that great cat feed on the guy's soft tissues, stomach, guts..... just as any big cat does with its prey in the savanna

Oh, i am sure we will see more of this primeval killer... After Lilith the bengal tigress showed us her hunting prowess and a fascinating way to kill her victim in "The Run": fav.me/d5n956g the two hosts of the show, Jake and Sarah, got a lot of requests for showing more "Action with really big Cats" in later levels

Okay... but back to your question:
Root = 1200
Tip = 600
Numbers = 800000
This are my settings for DAZ-Studio. but i don't know, if they work in Vue too.
As this is more a testrender for a 3D-Comic it is not very accurately worked out in its settings or shaders. The work on my comic is based on the Pareto Principle — also known as the 80/20 Rule — is the idea that 80% of results stem from 20% of the effort and on the other side it means that the last 20% of results need about 80% of effort.
So i only go up to about 80% in accuracy to safe time because i have to do about 5 to 8 panels per page. More fine-tuning is later done in PaintShop Pro X4 on the rendered comic panels.

I never get great quality of hairs which sucks!!! but its a learning process i guess.
has helped me tremendously!!!
I just hate when it looks cool in daz then crappy in vue..and such a large obj too
thanks so much for sharing info w/me

Yes, the OBJ export was the reason why i did not tried it in Vue yet... It needs either too much memory or my graphic-card can't handle it (or both). I tried it in fav.me/d5qrt90 with one of the figures as OBJ but DS always freezes down when i imported the OBJ (and became unstable, caused in numerous crashes only when i moved the cameras too fast and so on). So i made two renders and "cheated" it together in PSP X4.

Weiter so!
