I always go for ignoring the idea of pairings until I catch a hint of actual chemistry, and THEN I act on it. It's worked for me so far.

Same here, I suppose. The only couple I regularly pair up is NagaKona, and even that's not set in stone for when I'm reading. And as for the rest... *shrug* I don't like pedophilia, ephebophilia, incest, rape, beastiality, etcetera... but I don't particularly mind most other ships.
