Another slightly updated 2015 piece. I really didn't like this one at the time, It's a bit better now. I'm probably overdoing the highlights a bit, but whatever. I need to get better at that.
Back when I did the sketch for this I hadn't seen that much of the series, I basically stopped right after the lapis episode. It's pretty good though once you get into it. Definitely one of my favorite western cartoons. Pink and white swapped pearls - calling it! :V

you can ctrl c ctrl v the layer and just erase everything else but the hair on the new layer, and then erase only the hair on the other. then you only have to re-draw a little portion that the hair took up. it tends to work for me, so maybe try that..??

Although a bit more flat looking, not sure. Did it kinda quickly, although I didn't re-draw it, I just cropped it afterwards. To be honest I'll probably just give up on this one and work on something else, thanks for the advice though.

You incorporated her anatomy in a way that's very aesthetically pleasing but still true to her character. I think that's a hard balance to find and you pulled it off nicely.
