Description
A long overdue chibi comission for =MiSTEH of her character Story...whos isnt a he or a she ;DANYWAY. i think the coloring came out decent on this one :3 it was hard to shade a white character like this and still make it look white xD;
(note to self: dont use strong lighting with white characters .__.; )

well the entire thing was done in photoshop CS2 (a computer program xD; ) sooo, for the coloring i used the selection tool and the gradient tool ^^

Ferret & dragon, but I took extreme creative liscense on what aspects of a ferret to use when I created Story so yeah- most people think Story is a canine dragon, T_T

Either way, it's beautiful.. I think you did a very good job on the fur as well, even though white is hard to shade

I think the strong lighting is absolutely gorgeous! The different gradients make it all the more interesting to look at, for a start. The way you captured fur detail is lovely and your lines are awesome. Sort of delicate and fine looking but still crisp- they stand out. And it really works how you used no lines in the background or on the snow. The shades you used on the bamboo compliment Story perfectly!

I command you to stop being so amazing! This is seriously gorgeous! I just love how you did everything! You're really good at the gradient shading! I don't even know how to start with that one ._. I've tried but I can only do really really simple things.
The background is beautiful and compliments the character well. I love that the snow seems soft and delicate. I like how the bamboo looks like a painting x3

gradient shading is really hard to get used to xD; i remember when i first started, i didnt know what to do either. basically what i do is, take it section by section. so first use the selection tool and select a big area (like the head) and then shade that, then continue to work smaller and smaller. i use the smudge tool too, for when i messup and when i want to add swirlies :B i cant really explain it too well, you'll just need to keep practicing and find your own way to do it 8D;; *shot*

Goodness, where to start. Well, first I would like to say I really like how you showed that little stalk of bamboo in front of Story; it makes the background more of a part in the art, rather than simply a pretty thing to fill in the white spaces. 8D
I also like how you used shading to bring out the fur detail...which leads me to how you expertly incorporated those fine swirls into the shading on Story's face.
I enjoy seeing those wings as looking like they're actually fingers, it's a very nice touch. And I will end with this- I love that floofy tail!
Overall, a fantastic work of art. Great job!

i really dont even know what to say, you said so many nice things ;3; but thank you for pointing out what you liked in the piece, it lets me know what i should improve on and include in pieces in the future C: it also...i dont know, makes my art worth something xD; cause now i know that you really looked at it and ENJOYED looking at it. when people leave one word comments it just seems like they looked at it for two seconds and were like "LOLCOMMENTFAVECCC::" and didnt really get anything out of it xD;
