realism is not my strong point. never again will i fool myself or people into thinking i can accomplish it c_cAnyway this is a long overdue commission for *meradragon of her character Talonosh, a rad purple tiger guy.
Will probably be drawing him again soon, so look out for another purple tiger.
This took forever, and its still bad *cry*

The down of youth. Hey, I like it: his fur has a silver sheen to it that you captured well.

i first put down a base color generalizing the shape of the tiger, then i took a very small sized brush (probably 4-5 px) and stroked in each hair over the the body

You did a great job on the scene and the fur, but his anatomy is a little weird, unless he's supposed to be... um... chubby. lol. awesome job overall tho!

It looks stunning. My only comment would be that the top part of the wing closest to us looks a bit awkward (I can't figure out how it's bent...?), which kind of drags the overall impression down a bit.

Well, I will rephrase that first of all, I love this a LOT. It's absolutely beautiful, and the amount of detail is gorgeous. The way you painted the snow so that it feels like there's a blizzard blowing over him is a wonderful touch. I love how it feels so thick and so cold, and how you can feel and hear the wind blowing around him. The way you defined the lighting is gorgeous. I love how he's stepping out, almost reluctantly, into the light, and it's starting to illuminate his purple plumage and fur. It's a wonderful touch. The anatomy is really nice here; he feels bulky and strong and I feel like I can feel the muscles moving under the fur. I love that fur and feather texture. It's done very well! Also, it all ties down into us seeing the expression in his sentient eye. I think you did this wonderfully. I'm very happy to receive this, and I hope you understand that even if you're not happy with it, it's a great piece!

There is so much I admire about this picture!I think my favorite part is the fur and coloring on the tiger.
Its not bad to be dissatisfied with some of your pictures. I think it lets you improve as long as you see what you need to work on. even if they are gorgeous.

I think it's pretty fantastic. You've paid such attention to detail, especially on the character. If you think this is bad, I would hope you'd continue attempting realism, because whatever you would be satisfied with is going to be mind-blowing. I love the face and right front paw especially.
