Yes, that is an excellent caption!Β  I think dandelions are a lovely flower; it is just a pity that it is so short-lived and spread where they are not wanted.
Last year the show of dandelions in the verge of the road out of our village rivalled the display of daffodils a few weeks earlier.

I'm just a very starter in herbalism, but as well as I read, each part of the plant is edible and has it's own benefits. It can be used for both physical healing benefits and psychic effects, but the best way not to mislead you by any means, you can read valuable info about benefits, side effects and ways on how to use it here:Β  en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taraxacu…   Β Β Β Β

There are also some recent articles with statistics for benefits against cancer

That's right, I've read they've found out it's good for some serious illnesses, such as cancer as you mentioned, diabetes, kidney & heart diseases...Β
I'm definitely putting myself on learning more about herbs & their usage

My Mom was very good at this - you could not eat a meal without hearing a whole lecture about what ever properties the ingredients had. And motivating why one should add this and that, and eat not only for the tongue, but for the rest of the body as well. And she had so much joy with some things that you would also start liking them, even if it was not really your thing so to say I think I am missing having to think about the latin names of that or that

Such parents are a real treasure... we could've learned so much from our ancestors, if the world wouldn't have changed in such a drastically quick way. Many things are forgotten and replaced with less effective ones, and most of the knowledge of old times is lost in the process. Those who keep the little crumbs alive are to be respected and learned from Β

She was absolutely right, by the way, I must admit! Since I started learning about herbs, the more I learn, the less I feel I know and want to learn more and more to be able to find a cure at least for every little "everyday" illness may occur without rushing to docs or taking loads of medicines...
Also, I think I may gonna never be able to learn all those complex latine names, rather the "funny" folk-names of each plant, easier to recall

My mom, btw was rather interested in the spirit realms, but she haven't talked much about it.. she wanted to protect us from everything that might be on that side. Wish she told us more...Β
