Description
I decided to try a bit of color for a change. And the reference photo 40.media.tumblr.com/29cc29b945… , by Eric Ray is fantastic! Looking forward to see Star Wars!Software: Krita

If this is an actual drawing and not any 3D app or something, then that is AMAZING. It looks very realistic and it's simply WONDERFUL.
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
edit: a small note; the eye reflection looks as if she was posing for a photo in front of spotlights. If that's not what you thought when you were drawing this, then you could change it a bit perhaps?

My reference was a photo made with spolights www.deviantart.com/users/outgo… and I actually like the spark, but I can also delete it...
I am still a beginner and this is another step in me practicing the values - you can see that the tone of the color can be improved din many places - it is either too bright, or not homogeneous... I still have lots to learn. It is not perfect, but I absolutely loved working on this!
And every pixel is painted - I started on an empty file. you can see that the chin needs lots of work - I am still not good enough, and many things are either bigger or smaller or a bit shifted. I can probably improve it, but I rest a bit for while. I gained some experience with this one, that I would like to use in improving my previous tries in black and white.
I even forgot to clean the layer with the base color for the face you can see it on the top of the head, on the left side!
I'll do that with the first update. But I am totally better wth layers now - from 72 with my first try, I have only about 18 for this one!
(for experts this is way too much, but this is my actual level
slow like a snail^^)

Ah, now I see. Well, the spark, looks good then.
And, a place you should improve in is the wrinkles. They're not really as toned enough as in the reference photo.
But, as you know, still an awesome painting!

Yes, this is one of the places I need to improve I am afraid to make them too strong, this is why I tend to let them less defined, which in turn reduces the 3D effect. Maybe I'll get there after some practice

Thank you! I can only do this digitally where I can compare the drawing to the original much easier than on paper, and correct things when they are too way off, that the expression changes too much.
But I already see I need less corrections than at the beginning, so I hope I wil improve if I keep practicing...

Yes, Digital art is not easy so you are ahead of the game already. That is what I do, I usually use a reference to draw proper portions but I allow my artistic hand to add onto the creation so I make it my own and nobody else.

I'l get there too! I am still in calibrating phase. To understand how what I see, and what I want to do looks like after I try to draw it.
