Hi Andorada,
I think overall you did a lovely job capturing the soulfulness and slight sensuality of Adele's face~
I particularly like how you delineated the intensity in her eyes, and the fine softness in the hairs on both sides of her forehead.
I am definitely guilty of having her song Hello on replay.
However, I think it's important to give each other constructive feedback,
so I'm going to be super nitpicky, and just point out a few things that could do with a bit of fine tuning.
I'm going to refer to left right as in left right of the drawing, and not the left right of her actual face.
First, the head of her left eyebrow is slimmer than the head of her right eyebrow.
For her right eyebrow your drew in tiny hairs growing upwards, which darkened the head of that eyebrow.
However, the left eyebrow did not get the same treatment.
Second, her nose is not symmetrical.
The right triangle of her nose is shaded at a steeper angle,
which means that it's quite visibly smaller than the left.
Third, the darker shading of her lips can be more defined in order to make her lips more rounded.
By this, I don't mean darken the whole lip,
but just the small areas where the lip recedes into the mouth.
I hope I didn't come of as being too harsh, because I honestly think you did a fine job
Keep up the good work!
-Vi

Hello I am commenting on behalf of .
Wow, what a wonderful drawing. I've of course seen the CD cover (almost wrote album and gave away my age) and your likeness of it is astonishing. Personally I am all about the details in a drawing and this drawing is filled with such. The hair coming from her temples is really impressive. I like that you can actually make out individual hairs as well as different tones, really impressive. Her eyes sell the photo however. The small little dots that fill them and the spots of light really set the mood of her entire face. They look as if they are real. I keep waiting for her to blink. That is an incredible accomplishment in a drawing. Lastly the subtle shading throughout her face is spot on. Great work.
The only minor critique I have of the piece is her lips. There size and shape is correct but they appear a little soft , maybe blurry is a better way to describe them. I would have just made them a bit darker around the edges, especially that lower right area(as you look at the drawing). Again a minor thing and more than likely a personal preference.
Overall, a very impressive work of art and I would say you definitely achieved your goal of adding definition and details. Bravo!

Thank you so much for the feedback - much appreciated!
I actually managed to make the hair like this because of the recommendations from fantasio , and the eyes because of the comments from George-B-Art and Astarsia
The lips are blurry because the texture I made was a bit too raw for my taste, so I covered it with another layer. I still have to work on that area, still some more things to learn

First off, I would like to say what you have done with this photo is absolutely wonderful. It is a truly beautiful piece of work. I think the first thing I noted was how much I enjoy the darkness of the eyeliner above her lashes. While it's that dark in the photo, I believe many artists would have over-highlighted in an attempt to give it more of a 3D look, but I much prefer how it is in the photo and your painting. It's much more striking this way. You captured the shading beautifully and the proportions to a T. Very well done.
The only critique I have for it, that isn't necessarily your fault, is the floating head. That always drives me nuts. That's exactly how it is the photograph, and you stayed true to it, but I personally would have taken a little liberty and added the very subtle shadings of a neck. But, that is just my personal preference and not a reflection on you as an artist. Other than that, I might ad just a little bit more texture to the lips. A few more small, distinct lines would really help add some texture into the piece and bring some further detail to it.
All in all, very well done. I can't wait to see what you come up with next :3

The floating head Now that you pointed it out, I will never be able to look at it without think about this
I suppose I could add some shadows... It might help also with the chin, which was for me very difficult to make. She has so distinctive features to her chin, that I did not really manage to do it perfectly, plus there is a mistake on the right side... Such a nice combination of strength, determination and sensuality...
With the lips, I agree I will work on it - I want to have it elegant enough, otherwise I risk to break the atmophere... I am still chewing on how to do that. This version has the textured lips a layer deeper, so it is not on top. As soon as I get better on this, I'll update it
Thank you so much for the feedback!
(ProjectComment is really a nice initiative! )
