Awesome helmets, one issue I don't see any of the camouflage covers the Germans used such as Splinter A, Splinter B (Luftwaffe), or dot pattern (Waffen SS).

Thank you my friend, it's true, the dot pattern is very iconic, maybe a next time...

I've always had trouble trying to discern a Hungarian stalhelm and those made by the germans. The helmet in question has no Liner pins visible on the outer surface and is mounted on a pin on the interior of the helmet the liner itself is different from models i have seen as well. It is in all appearances a Stalhelm m35 with rolled steel edges and possibly german with its decals that for all intents and purposes are original. Literally any help trying to identify this will be helpful.

It should be noted that there are three different versions of the helmet, A, B, and C. A's are easy to tell apart because they have a noticeable raised ridge. But all m36's are more rounded compared to the german model. In real life this is easy to see, but in old photos its understandably much harder.

The Hungarian M38 had the riveted air vents like the German M35, and quite the sameΒ rolled edge, but it hadΒ theΒ tipycalΒ Β carry loop on the rear of the helmetΒ and differentΒ rivets position of the liner.

There were 5 factories that produced German helmets,
whose brand you can find on the right side of the helmet, once you turned it upside down, the marks are:
Q: Quist factory in Esslingen
EF: EmaillenWerken A.G. in Fulda
NF: Vereingte Deutsche NikelWerke in Schwerte
SE (then HKP from 1943) Sachsische Emaillier in Lauter
ET (then CKL from 1943) Eiserhutterwerke in Thale
and moreoverΒ with the typical fussy of the German people, each helmet had its own serial number printed on the inside back of the helmet.

It does have a serial number #64 but i could not find a factory stamp. And i just found out that the liner itself is possibly adjustable for larger heads. Which i dont think was a feature in regular stalhelms.

Id like to rescind that "adjustable liner" statement as i am not to sure if its possible to actually re-adjust it. as the way it's secured im afraid I'd only cause damage if i tried.

I see, 64 should be the helmet size,Β Β but every German helmet should have the factory mark:

I have already checked this site out and it had literally no signs on what helmet it is. The big difference is how the liner is attached and not to mention the chin strap bales are attached directly on the helmet and not the liner. This thing has me jumping through hoops trying to identify it. It looks like a stahlhelm but isnt made like any other stahlhelm I've seen.

The modern American helmet is very close to the German helmet of ww2.

More like an unfortunate situation between "enemies of your enemies" and "friends of your enemies".
Finland also used a couple German/Hungarian style helmet models.

I tre in basso sono eleganti. Le texture del metallo e del tessuto sono molto belle.

An outstanding new work with superb texture and accuracy.
It seems that the german stahlhelm is the best form of helmt. I have a theory that they are all descents of the Boeotian Helmet.
