Description Plitvice NP - Sunset

I've been to Plitvice National Park (Croatia) for the first time last weekend. It's an impressive place. The regional tourist agency told me that most of the waterfalls are frozen and I wanted to get there before the incoming warm front would harm them.
The area around "Entrance 1" war somewhat cleared from the snow. Getting to the upper waterfalls beneath "Entrance 2" was a different thing. The paths there was covered in over 2ft of snow and along the way trees have collapsed under the heavy weight of the snow. The bridges along the waterfall are about 3ft wide and have no railings. I had to balance along them on the 2ft layer of powder snow and walked as far as I could. At a point where I could no longer make out the bridge below the snow, I had to return. I managed to get some images anyway and will post them over the next few days.
This shot was taken in the "easy" area around the "Big Waterfall". The sun was setting and just hitting the last line of trees up there. The water is green all over the park of course.

Then GO THERE ... ... but bring snowshoes with you. The upper lakes are hard to access and everything's covered in about 75cm of snow.

Actually too much snow. I wasn't able to pass along all the bridges because it became too dangerous.

Das ist ein Durchgang in der Felswand. Wollte raufgehen, ist aber komplett vereist.
