Description
Another image I reworked that I wasn't really happy with, although it got a warm reception for which I am thankful.I am curious to hear what you have to say about this second version.

this... this is perfect.
Only negative thing might be the frustration that comes with seeing such a wonderful place and not being able to go there and look through those books and...
this is too amazing...

This is absolutely gorgeous Β
I definitely like this version better, I can definitely see more detail and time was put into this. The first has a warm feel from the light from the windows, but the hallway seems cold with the dark hues of red and pale light coming off the hallway lamps on the unpatterned, lifeless floor. This version has a home feel, plenty of books against the wall dulled in color with age and handling. The pattern on the carpet helps to signify style in the scene and the hallway has a feeling of pleasure of life that has been lived through the ages in it's halls Β

I like both of them, but truly, I like first one more, because it had a play of cold and dark colors, which gave great sense of volume, while this one lost part of those magic of realism. I believe (correct me if I wrong), you tried to make colors softer in endeavor to make picture more stylish. But I still prefer first version. Only thing I would change is to make carpet texture and color look closer to this version.

Oh, the light! This is so beautiful and I love the atmosphere. I could spend days, weeks in a library like that.

Love it! Did you use any brush patterns, or did you paint all the books and rug detail individually?

Oh~ it feels like a nice hallway in a really cool castle or big mansion, on a sunny afternoon that's closing in on evening.
I feel like I can smell the books and hear my muffled footsteps on the floor and the sun on my skin as I go closer to the window.
It's really a nice ambience, calm and soothing.

I like this version far better. While both have the same interesting point of view and setting, I adore the details you added here. The books, painting and floor just look really great and I love the warm light you used.
