Description I uploaded a coloring and inking tutorial on Youtube. It has two parts and I really hope that it can be useful to someone ^^

edit: LOL I forgot to paste the links ;; ehmm... here they go

First part
[link]
Second part
[link]

I would also start to take some Copic chibi commissions for 30 USD each (like the example above).
I am trying to save up some money to buy a mini Latidoll bjd *O* ([link] roduct_view&big=1&mid=74&num=1142)

The character is Angelika, my first and most precious Ragnarok character ^^

I really like how you color the skin, tell me. When I was watching the video when you were coloring, it looked like you were barely picking up the brush when you colored in an area. Then when you added shading you still barely picked up the brush and it blended almost perfectly (but still had to go over with the lightest color.). Is it the brand of paper you're using or how much pressure you're applying to the marker that makes blending so easy?
(Sorry long question. )

Hiya~ I found your youtube video before I found your D.A. account, and I just wanted to say that your tutorial in using copic was most indeed helpful. ^_^

Unfortunately I havent had any experience with Neopiko brand >__< yes Copics are really expensive T___T ... I saved the money little by little and occasionaly bought 5-10 of them at a time. I only started using them after 6 months of collecting different shades. but I must tell they were worth every cent x3

Btw, is there a rule where to put those little white dots so it looks good? I tried it once but it looked awful.

Nice tutorial! I found your tutorial via your GaiaOnline post; which led to your tutorial on Youtube...which led to your dA. >__<
After watching your tutorial I decided to do a quick coloring with my Copics.

Unfortunately they didn't go as well as I hoped. My lineart smudged. >____<

May I ask what type of ink you use? I think I'm using the wrong type of ink...(and it isn't smudging due to wet ink...I've had the lineart for a few months now...)

AndrejA In reply to ShenKhort [2008-04-29 14:38:31 +0000 UTC]

Finding the right ink is tricky... even the original Copic liner smudges sometimes when the lines are really thin and close to each other (like eyelashes) ...
I use UniPin Fine Line. Not all waterproof inks will work, they need to resist alcohol, thats the tricky part.
