Thanks to a suggestion from a friend, a murderous triffid from 'Day of the Triffids' (1951). The monsters were mobile, poisonous plant creatures that hunted down humanity β made all the easier by the bulk of our population being struck blind by a meteor shower that probably animated the plants to begin with.Created in pencil and cleaned up in Photoshop.Β

Day of the TriffidsI recently read the original novel (1951) by John Wyndham.
A great and creepy read and much more scary than the low budget movie.
(although the movie is still a lot if fun!)
