but yeah, now were on my reupload for donkey kongs trophy for my super smash bros ultimate custom trophies

now when it comes to his backstory...its somewhat complicated for me to properly grasp, for starters its been revealed that the donkey kong that appears in the original donkey kong games is a younger version of cranky kong, which would make the version of donkey kong from the donkey kong country series and the mario spinoff games an older version of donkey kong jr, and yet yoshis island ds introduced baby donkey kong instead of using donkey kong jr and AGH! my brain hurts trying to understand this!

but anyways, just so i wont drive myself insane, im going to go with the whole "Donkey Kong Is Donkey Kong Jr" headcanon as his backstory until i am given a much clearer version of his backstory

and with that out of the way, lets begin

so during donkey kongs childhood, he helped his dad cranky kong with taking down mario after kidnapping pauline in new donk city, this backfired after mario defeated cranky kong and has captured him so he can remain locked in a cage in a zoo in the city, resulting in donkey kong stopping mario so he can save him as they are transported into an island so they wont do any more harm in new donk city, in which donkey kong learns some math skills with cranky kong so he can be more smart and prepared for whenever he would cross paths with mario again, years later after donkey kong has grown up in this new island (now dubbed "Donkey Kong Island") as his adventures begins with king k rool stealing the islands banana horde as he goes with diddy kong to stop king k rool and take back the bananas that he has stolen, after doing this for a second time, he is kidnapped by king k rool under the disguise of "Kaptain K Rool" in which diddy kong teams up with dixie kong to save him from kaptain k rool twice, actually make that 3 times as king k rool kidnaps him again along with diddy kong under the disguise of "Baron K Roolestein" as dixie kong and kiddy kong goes to save them while stopping king k rools latest creation, KAOS, now that donkey kong is back in action, he and diddy kong enters the jungle jam tournament to stop king k rool from stealing all of the medals as he and the others later take a vacation on sun sun island in which they help the banana alien xananabad in stopping king k rool and his kremling army from stealing a crystal banana, after returning to donkey kong island, he teams up with diddy kong, tiny kong, lanky kong and chunky kong to stop king k rool from destroying the island with his blast-o-matic, sometime after diddy, tiny and dixie kong returned from defeating wizpig on timber island, donkey kong and the other kongs in the island race against king k rool and his kremling krew in a barrel blast racing grand prix, with king k rool and his kremling army seemingly gone, the kongs celebrate this by performing music with the dk bongos until donkey kong has to deal with 4 new threats, the evil kings, the tiki tak tribe, the snowmads and an army of rabbids lead by rabbid kong, even after all this, donkey kong has eventually crossed paths with mario again in which he steals his mini marios and competes with him in sporting and racing events, one of which has him clashing with king k rool once more as he had no choice but to join forces with him to stop bowser from taking control of the baseball kingdom, oh and he even clashed with little mac at one point, so theres that

and that is donkey kongs backstory

while super smash bros considers the donkey kong, yoshi and wario franchises to be from their own universe, i still saw them as sharing the same universe as mario thanks to many of the spinoff games showing them all in the same game as mario and this is what i am going with for my uploads for yoshi, wario, diddy kong and king k rools trophies

as for my experiences with the donkey kong series, aside from diddy kong racing and its ds remake, i never played any of the donkey kong country games as i never owned an SNES nor have i gotten around to the donkey kong country returns games, i did get donkey kong 64 however, but i couldnt play it since my nintendo 64 doesnt have an expansion pack, but during christmas i did get donkey kong country tropical freeze on my nintendo switch and i do plan on playing that at some point

but like i said, donkey kong has a confusing backstory, so i had to go with the theory that hes the same character as donkey kong jr for his backstory

and that is my trophy for donkey kong, for my next upload, its going to be a certain version of link who has fought in the age of calamity until he has waken up years later to help with stopping calamity ganon, ill see you guys in that upload
