You overrode the Celestia model? That might've caused problems with the VMT files or something. Regardless, it's meant to be installed as a separate model from Celestia, so that might be a reason for it.
If anything else, I'm releasing this model for the new Celestia model from the latest pack, so you could try that one when it comes out.

No, I mean the files I include in the download don't require overriding Celestia. Just put the model files in garrysmod\MLPPack\models and the material folder (the one called "nightmoo") in garrysmod\MLPPack\materials\models\mlp.
You do have the first two MLP model packs installed, don't you?

Technically this wasn't a port so much as a transfer of your MMD model's textures to that of the GMod Celestia model's textures, but glad to see you like this transfer anyways.
Also good to hear you're okay with people porting your models. I've heard rumors about MMD modelers being picky about what people do with their work.

are you kidding me?! I want to see my stuff in action. and lots of MMD people hate MLP. which sucks. I've made a crap ton of those MLP models. hell i made a ash ketchum one the other day.
i wish you could port the model to gmod. i have a model i made of gilda that i can't figure out how to port out of MMD.

The model probably wasn't installed correctly. Make sure all the files are in the proper place corresponding to where they are in the ZIP file (IE, the proper folders).
Also, check the GMod console when you get that kind of error to see if it says anything about what went wrong.

Ok what i did was i put the NMMB2 file on the addons

Are the files in the same place where they were in the ZIP file? You have to match them up exactly.
(IE, the model files are in addons/MLPPack/Models, the material files are in the addons/MLPPack/materials/models/mlp/celestia/nightmoo and addons/MLPPack/materials/models/mlp/nightmoo folders)

When I said MLPPack, that means you have to put the files in those places IN the MLPPack (which is where you installed the original MLP models).
And remember that half the files in the materials folder have to go within Celestia's material folder, due to the way I hexed the skin.

Make sure the location of the textures and models match up exactly with where they are in the .zip file.
If that doesn't work, try using 7Zip (instructions on using that are here: [link] )

Here's a somewhat more specific description of how to install:
The twelve files pertaining to the opened and closed-winged version of the model, located in the model file within the zip file of the download, should be dropped in "garrysmod/garrysmod/addons/MLPPack/models." The folder containing all the texture data, "nightmoo", should be dropped in "garrysmod/garrysmod/addons/MLPPack/materials/models/mlp".

That should be it. Make sure the files are in the right place, and the model should appear alongside the rest of the models in the MLP pack.

The model is meant to be implemented inside the MLPPack, and if by "readme" you mean the "info.txt" file, you don't need more than that per addon folder. Readmes aren't that important to mods except for explaining how to install things.
